I majored in International and Intercultural Studies at Pitzer College and graduated this past Spring of 2010. Right now I am living in England earning my Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre. My passion and drive in my career endeavors are YOU , women of color. I want to devote my career to altering the way women of color are portrayed and represented in the media , showing the beauty , strength and souls of women of color.
Just wanna say how lucky you ladies are to have such amazing leaders and women to look up to !
I wish you nothing but the best and may your years at Claremont be joyfully memorable. Please feel free to email me or visit my blog if you wanna see how my time in England is coming along : [email protected]/[email protected] ,http://kelley-lovinchocolateinlondon.blogspot.com/

Patricia Nguyen (Founder) [email protected]
Patricia Nguyen is passionate about the work of healing and transformation. Born and raised in Chicago. She is currently in the Mekong Delta region in Vietnam on Fulbright- connecting back to her roots and working at a community college, hoping to empower people’s voices through self-expression- cultivating critical and creative thinking and action. She recently graduated in 2010 and majored in Sociology while at Pomona College, but dabbled into the theatre and art departments. Most importantly, the classes that raised her critical consciousness and moved her to nourish her spirit while in school were in the Africana, Asian American Studies, and Chicanas/Latinas American departments. Through conversations with strong women of color across the 5-Cs, a commitment to struggle together and listen to one another with love even through hardships, helped build the person Patricia is today. Rare Diamonds will forever remain a movement in her heart to transform the way we see, feel, and be with one another in this world- grounding our actions in love and a sense of accountability and responsibility to our roots and communities.

I attended Pomona College ('10) and graduated with a BA in Africana Studies, minor in Sociology. I truly enjoyed being at the Claremont Colleges mainly because of my tight circle of women of color (whom I connected with mainly through RD).
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois
I am currently attending Stanford University; Teacher Education.
